Blackstone has announced funds managed by its real estate business have agreed to acquire the Windsor Atlantica Hotel on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As part of the transaction, Blackstone has signed a management agreement with Hilton for this asset and following a period of transition plans to convert the hotel to the Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana.

Four Seasons had confirmed plans to open Four Seasons Hotel São Paulo at Nações Unidas in 2017, with Private Residences to follow. Hilton Worldwide has announced the signing of a management agreement with Fideicomiso Santa Marta Hotel to operate a new build Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in the Caribbean port city of Santa Marta, Colombia. Scheduled to open in 2017, this new Hilton Santa Marta hotel represents the company’s 14th hotel project in Colombia including its portfolio of seven existing operating hotels and seven currently under development.
Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, a leading brand in the FRHI Hotels & Resorts portfolio, today announced that the brand has entered into a franchise agreement for branding the operation of Swissôtel Guayaquil.
