Ritz-Carlton has signed a management agreement with RAK National Hotels, an owner of hotels and resorts in Ras Al Khaimah, marking its entry into the emirate. The brand will manage The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach and The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, growing the brand’s footprint in the United Arab Emirates to five by 2017.

Dusit Hotels has signed a technical design agreement with ACES Property Development to bring a new hotel apartment project under the DusitPrincess brand to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Shaza Hotels has signed with Al-Rajhi Investments to operate two hotels in Makkah and Riyadh. The 251-key Shaza Hotel in Makkah is due to open within the next 12 months, while the 205-key hotel in the capital of the Kingdom, currently under development, is due to open in 2017.

Millennium & Copthorne has signed two hotels in the Sultanate of Oman including the global debut of the new eco-lifestyle brand, Agarwood. Shaza Hotels has announced the signing of a management agreement with Hani Group for the operation of a 156 room hotel in the Seef district of Bahrain. The Hani Group, a construction and hospitality group which already owns and self-operates two upscale properties, has chosen Shaza Hotels to develop the group’s first luxury hotel as part of its hospitality portfolio growth. Shaza Seef Bahrain is centrally located in the fast developing bustling shopping and business district of Al Seef and close to the city’s largest malls, Seef Mall and Bahrain City Centre.
