Meliá Hotels International has announced its entry into the Iranian market with the first five-star branded hotel, which will be managed by an international hotel company, Gran Meliá Ghoo Hotel. The property will be located in the largest mixed residential, commercial and hotel complex to be developed in Iran, which is currently being built in Salman Shahr, a popular holiday destination on the Caspian Sea.

Jumeirah Al Naseem details unveiled at Madinat Jumeirah
Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding, has unveiled the name for Jumeirah’s new hotel at Madinat Jumeirah, scheduled to open during 2016. The new property will be known as Jumeirah Al Naseem. The name ‘Al Naseem’, which means a gentle wind or sea breeze in Arabic, reflects the location of the hotel on the shoreline of the Arabian Gulf and the open aspect of its design.

Shangri-La signs to manage The Palm Tower on Palm Jumeirah
Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts and Dubai-based real estate developer Nakheel have signed a letter of intent for Shangri-La to manage a 290-room hotel in The Palm Tower on Palm Jumeirah. The parties expect to sign a comprehensive hotel management agreement for the property in the coming weeks.
