Dominvs Group unveils £100m UK hotel construction programme
Dominvs Group and contractor McAleer & Rushe have signed the first in a series of phased contracts, worth in excess of £100 million, to build out a development programme of hotels, across the UK. The first legal agreement signed by Dominvs was a £26 million contract with McAleer & Rushe to design and build two hotels in Aberdeen close to the airport.
JW Marriott plans hotel in Venice for 2015
JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans to open its first Italian hotel in Venice. The 266-room property, created in collaboration with award-winning Italian architect firm Matteo Thun & Partners, has an exceptional lagoon location on its own island, with stunning views of St Mark’s Square and La Serenissima. The hotel buildings have been sensitively refurbished by Matteo Thun & Partners to incorporate sustainable, modern and elegant design within the historic building.
InterContinental London - The O2 set for 2015 opening
The new InterContinental London - The O2 is scheduled to open in late 2015, providing extensive facilities for leisure and business travellers visiting the capital. The luxury 453-bedroom 18-storey hotel and conference centre currently in construction as part of a 7.6 acre development scheme on the Greenwich Peninsula, a destination enjoying a huge surge in visitors following the 2012 Olympic regeneration project.
