Centara Hotels & Resorts reveals two new China properties
Centara Hotels & Resorts’ latest venture is two new properties in China, with the group’s management signing two new agreements for what will become the new ‘Centara Grand Beach Resort Jin Tai Hainan’ in Hainan Province and the ‘Centara Villas Zhaoqing’ in Guangdong Province. Thirayuth Chirathivat, chief executive of Centara Hotels & Resorts, commented that the addition of new properties, in these strategic Eastern locations, is an excellent opportunity to expand the company’s portfolio.
Dusit Devarana Resort, Haikou West signs for 2018 opening
Dusit Fudu Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Hainan Jinxiu Industrial Company to manage a new luxury Dusit Devarana Resort in Haikou City, Hainan Province. Mövenpick Hotels accelerates south-east Asia expansion plans
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is consolidating its expansion campaign in south-east Asia with two new properties announced for Malaysia and Vietnam, both of which will open in 2018. Strengthening its development plans in Malaysia, the Swiss hospitality firm has signed a deal to manage the 30-storey Mövenpick Hotel Kota Bharu, a 453-key five-star resort in Kelantan, a state on the country’s east coast undergoing a rapid transformation.
Dusit signs on for new Cebu, Philippines, property
Continuing its aggressive expansion in the Asian region Dusit International has announced the addition of a new property in Cebu. The new DusitPrincess Cebu, set to open in 2018, will join the company’s Philippines flagship property the Dusit Thani Manila. In a signing ceremony recently held at the City Sports Club in Cebu Business Park, representatives from Dusit International and Cebu-based developer Grand Land formalised an agreement to bring a DusitPrincess hotel to the Queen City of the South.
Dusit Fudu Hotels signs on for Dabieshan, China, property
Dusit Fudu Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Huoshan County Huachen Tourism Real Estate Development to manage an upscale, 300-room hot springs resort in Dabieshan, Anhui Province. Scheduled to open by the end of 2018, it will be the first internationally branded resort in Dabieshan.
Rocco Forte moves into Asia Pacific with Shanghai deal
Rocco Forte, chairman of Rocco Forte Hotels has attended a signing ceremony in Shanghai, announcing that a Rocco Forte hotel will open in Shanghai in 2018, constituting the group’s first move into the Asia Pacific market. Rocco Forte Hotels will partner with Longhua International to be part of the Longhua International Aviation Service Centre, a new urban complex in Shanghai’s Xuhui Riverside area known as West Bund.
Onyx signs two OZO properties in Malaysia
Thai-based Onyx Hospitality Group has signed management agreements for two new projects under select-service brand OZO and serviced apartment brand Shama in Iskandar, Malaysia. Located within the burgeoning township of Medini in Iskandar, the two new developments, OZO Medini and Shama Medini will be part of the multi-purpose UMCity Medini Lakeside complex from leading lifestyle developer United Malayan Land.
Citadines Apart’hotels continues global expansion with new signings
The Ascott has secured contracts to manage its first Citadines Apart’hotels in Vietnam, Sabah, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates. The 200-unit Citadines Regency Saigon is slated to open in the vibrant commercial hub of Ho Chi Minh City’s District 3 in 2018 while the 253-unit Citadines Waterfront Kota Kinabalu is scheduled to open within the heart of the city in 2018.
