The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has confirmed it will confiscate five South Korean owned properties at the Mountain Kumgang holiday resort – further deepening tensions between the two nations. South Korea suspended tours to the region in 2008 following the death of a visitor, with an official end to cooperation on the project now expected.

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has confirmed plans to expel South Korean partners from the famed Mountain Kumgang holiday resort, following a deterioration in relations between the neighbouring states. While South Korea has urged dialogue to resolve the conflict, the DPRK argues the resort has become untenable.
