Dreamliner moves into Europe with LOT Polish Airlines delivery
LOT Polish Airlines is celebrating the delivery of the its first Boeing Dreamliner, with the carrier becoming the first European airline to take delivery of the 787. Senior LOT and Boeing executives, as well as Polish and US government officials, celebrated the historic delivery at an event at the Future of Flight Aviation Center in Mukilteo, Washington, near Boeing’s 787 final assembly plant in Everett.
Routes 2012: LOT Polish Airlines outlines ambitious Dreamliner plans
LOT Polish Airlines will become the first European operator of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner when it welcomes the delivery of the first of eight aircraft it has on order in November this year. The Star Alliance member has this past week confirmed its planned scheduled operations of the type after opening reservations for the aircraft on flights from Warsaw to Beijing, Chicago, New York and Toronto.

On September 1, 2012, LOT Polish Airlines will move its operations at JFK from Terminal 4 to Terminal 1. LOT will also transfer all its Newark flights to JFK airport beginning Oct. 29, 2012. This move allows LOT to operate a larger number of flights offered from JFK and to provide a more consistent and attractive schedule for its New York passengers, particularly those in the business community.

Travelport, the business services provider to the global travel industry, and LOT Polish Airlines, the national flag carrier of Poland, have announced a new global full content agreement. Continental Airlines has signed a codeshare agreement with Lot Polish Airlines designed to improve services between select destinations in the United States and Europe.
