Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is opening Le Méridien Shanghai, Minhang in the Hongqiao Hub of Shanghai. The hotel marks the third Le Méridien and the 34th property in the Marriott International’s fast growing portfolio in the city of Shanghai.
Le Méridien Versailles in Montréal has completed a comprehensive renovation of the intimate 108-guestroom hotel, including two penthouse suites; the debut of the signature Le Méridien Hub™, an innovative reinterpretation of the traditional hotel lobby into a social gathering place; and the unveiling of all new meeting and public spaces within the hotel.
Le Méridien Mahabaleshwar Resort & Spa is set to open in Western India. Marking the first Le Méridien resort in India, the 122-room property is the Starwood brand’s ninth property in the country, further strengthening the Paris-born brand’s presence throughout India.
Starwood’s Le Méridien brand will open in Batumi, the brand’s first location in the Republic of Georgia. Ohio’s first Le Meridien hotel has opened in Columbus. Le Meridien Columbus, The Joseph is located in the city’s Short North Arts District. The new property, managed by Wischermann Partners, has 135 guestrooms and a 140-seat restaurant.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts has confirmed the signing of Le Méridien Ahmedabad, a 200-room new build hotel slated to open in 2018. In addition to well-appointed, oversized rooms, signature amenities and personalized services, the hotel will also offer four restaurant and bar venues, including a signature all-day dining outlet and two specialty restaurants. Recreation facilities include a swimming pool and fully equipped fitness center.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide today unveiled designs for Le Méridien New Orleans, a milestone as the French-born brand prepares to return to the Crescent City by end of year. As part of the strategic conversion plan of the former W New Orleans, the property has now transitioned to the Hotel New Orleans Downtown for the remainder of its $29 million renovation.
Le Méridien Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Golf Resort & Spa is set to make its debut in September 2014. Owned by Summit Windmill Corporation, the resort will be the first Le Méridien golf resort in Asia Pacific, with a professional course designed by golfing legend Nick Faldo.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced that its Le Méridien brand will soon add Indianapolis to its rapidly growing North American portfolio. Le Méridien Indianapolis will debut in November 2014 following a $9.5 million renovation of the historic Canterbury Hotel, a landmark property in the heart of downtown.
Le Méridien brand is picking up even more momentum in North America with a new hotel planned for Cleveland, Ohio. Le Méridien Cleveland will open in January 2016 following the completion of a re-use project that will join together two adjacent, historic buildings on Euclid Avenue.
