Las Vegas surges past visitor number record in 2014
Las Vegas has surpassed its record for annual visitation, drawing more than 40 million people with two weeks remaining of the calendar year. Current pacing suggests the destination could approach nearly 41 million visitors by the end of 2014. The historic milestone marks the continued and rapid expansion of the tourism industry in Southern Nevada, which has achieved ten consecutive months of visitor volume increases, with many of those months being the best on record.

Las Vegas celebrates new British Airways flights from London Gatwick
The Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority has joined forces with British Airways to celebrate the airline’s new direct route from Gatwick airport in style. Customers at British Airways’ new Gatwick North Terminal check-in area were treated to a glass of English bubbly at a pop-up Las Vegas bar and entertained by tunes from a grand piano, a chorus line of twelve showgirls, circus performers and a four-tier ‘inaugural cake’.
