Chinese hospitality giant Oceanwide has entered into a management agreement with subsidiaries of Kerzner International for a new Atlantis resort in Ko Olina, a 642 acre development on the white sand beaches of the island of O’ahu in Hawaii.
Kerzner International has announced that Helen McCabe-Young has stepped down from her roles as executive vice president, sales and marketing, One&Only and global corporate communications for Kerzner International. She led the strategic development and oversight of worldwide marketing for One&Only, as well as the retail and spa business development and the corporate strategy for Kerzner’s global communications.
Kerzner International has announced the appointment of Jean-Gabriel Pérès as its new president and chief executive officer. As the outgoing chief executive of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, Pérès has overseen the daily operations of the 16,000-staff hotel management company for 17 years. His role was instrumental in driving the global expansion of the company into Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
Kerzner International has appointed Stuart Thomson to the role of executive vice president of global human resources. In this role, Thomson will lead the company’s human resources strategy, and will work with the operations and HR leaders of Kerzner to adopt and implement best practice human resources initiatives that will support the vision of the company.
Kerzner International Holdings has announced that Alan Leibman will step down as chief executive, a position he has held since 2012. Kerzner International has appointed Philippe Zuber as president and chief operating officer for One&Only Resorts. In this role, Zuber will lead the strategic development of the One&Only brand, including continued operational success of all existing One&Only resorts. The appointment is strategically important as the company continues further enhancements across existing resorts in the collection and also moves forward with expansion plans for One&Only worldwide.
Kerzner International and Sevens Holding have announced a partnership with global hospitality leader, Hakkasan Group, to open a Hakkasan restaurant at the new One&Only resort opening in Seef, Bahrain. “We are very pleased to be welcoming Hakkasan to One&Only Bahrain and know our guests will truly appreciate being able to enjoy this world-class experience,” commented Mark DeCocinis, president, One&Only Resorts.
Kerzner International Holdings has made two new executive appointments. Ali Tabbal, who has served as chief financial officer for Kerzner International for the past three years, has been named chief operating officer and Saif Al Yaarubi has been appointed as chief financial officer, both effective August 1st 2015.

Kerzner International has entered into an agreement with BK Partners, a private equity fund focused on tourism and land development, to develop and operate two new One&Only resorts on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. These new resorts will complement the experience offered at the award-winning One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Kerzner International Holdings has announced that Brett Armitage, senior vice president, international sales and marketing will assume responsibility for the expanded territories of Europe, Middle East, Africa, CIS and The Americas. The move comes as Jean Joseph is promoted to vice president sales and marketing, UK & Ireland.

The move brings to a close one of the most dazzling careers in hospitality industry, with Kerzner top of the sector for decades. The news came after Investment Corporation of Dubai confirmed it had completed the purchase of a “significant” equity interest in the leading international Kerzner International.
