Kayak unveils new homepage
Kayak.co.uk has unveiled a restyled homepage, which has been designed to provide a more intuitive and user-friendly experience. This is in response to the increasing number of people using tablets and mobile devices to search for flights, hotels, car hire or holiday packages, as highlighted in a recent study which revealed that nearly one sixth of traffic to hotel websites worldwide came from mobile devices.
Priceline.com and KAYAK announce completion of merger
Priceline.com and KAYAK Software Corporation have announced the successful completion of the acquisition of KAYAK by priceline.com. In accordance with the terms of the transaction as previously announced, Kayak merged with and into a wholly-owned subsidiary of priceline.com.

Priceline receives approval for Kayak acquisition
Priceline has received approval from the Federal Trade Commission to go forward with its $1.8 billion acquisition of meta-search site Kayak. Priceline is expected to complete the acquisition of the travel search engine by the end of March.

Priceline.com has signed a definitive agreement for the Priceline Group to acquire Kayak in a stock and cash transaction. Under the terms of the agreement, the transaction values Kayak at $1.8 billion - or $40 per share.
Kayak rises following initial public offering
Shares in online meta travel site Kayak have jumped following an initial public offering. Norwalk, Connecticut-based company Kayak saw shares climb to over $30 each, after the launch, at $26 a share, on Friday.

Kayak has raised $91 million in an initial public offering, according to sources close to the deal. Reuters reports the online meta-search company exceeded forecasts by four per cent.

Travel search site, KAYAK, has signed a multi-year agreement with Kenshoo, a global leader in digital marketing software. KAYAK moved its search engine marketing campaigns to Kenshoo Enterprise, citing the brand’s superior algorithms and performance in comparison to industry alternatives.
Kayak buys Austrian travel sites Checkfelix
United States-based travel search site Kayak has bought Checkfelix, one of the leading travel search engines in Austria. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed, with Kayak also purchasing JaBo Software Vertrieb- und Entwicklung, which uses the Checkfelix as its trading name.
