Madinat Jumeirah to boost MICE offering with new Fort Island
Madinat Jumeirah, will offer the largest hotel event space in the United Arab Emirates when the Fort Island expansion is completed in October 2015. Set over 1,750 square meters, the space has tripled in size and is set to host banquets, parties, exhibitions, product launches, music concerts, weddings, sports events and festivals for up to 1,400 people.
New appointments for Jumeirah at Emirates Towers
Jumeirah at Emirates Towers has appointed Nadia Beaulieu as the new director of sales and marketing, while Ewart Wardhaugh will take over as head chef. Born in Scotland and part Egyptian, Beaulieu joins Jumeirah from Marriott International, where she was the director of sales and marketing at a number of properties including the London Park Lane Marriott.
Jumeirah to operate luxury hotel in Kuala Lumpur
Jumeirah Group has signed management agreements to operate a 190-room luxury Jumeirah hotel and to brand 273 premium residences in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Jumeirah Kuala Lumpur hotel and Jumeirah Living Kuala Lumpur residences will be set within one of the three towers which make up the landmark mixed-use development that is set to transform the skyline of Kuala Lumpur.

Swade takes up chief operating officer role with Jumeirah
Jumeirah Group has appointed Robert Swade as group chief operating officer following the resignation of Nicholas Clayton, who leaves the company on June 18th 2015. Swade has been an integral part of the senior executive team of Jumeirah Group since he joined the company in October 2005 as general counsel. In 2012 he was appointed as group chief development officer, tasked with building a robust portfolio of future hotel projects for the company.
