ITB Asia signs three year deal with Singapore Tourism Board
Singapore will continue to be home to the next three editions of the region’s leading travel trade show – ITB Asia. Messe Berlin (Singapore), the organisers of the event, have announced the extension of its milestone partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board from 2017 – 2019, as it looks to continue supporting ITB Asia’s impact in the region, bringing a full range of innovative travel products, services and high powered content that cater to new and growing segments in corporate, leisure and MICE travel.
ITB Asia welcomes delegates to Singapore
ITB Asia has opened its doors at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. There has been a significant interest in the MICE and corporate travel products, with over 85 per cent of attending buyers leveraging on the business matching platform to source for new destinations and travel products, and gain new industry knowledge.
ITB Asia signs partnership with Japan Tourism Organisation
ITB Asia has signed a partnership with the Japan National Tourism Organisation of Singapore. The memorandum of cooperation with Asia’s leading travel trade show looks to propel Japan up the international business and events destination chart. “Japan is a prime MICE destination in the region,” said Katrina Leung, executive director of Messe Berlin (Singapore).

Asia Pacific has become the world’s largest travel market and is expected to reach US$351.9 billion this year according to industry research authority, PhoCusWright. These latest figures were released today at the sixth edition of ITB Asia, ‘The Trade Show for the Asian Travel Market’, which takes place at the Suntec Singapore Exhibition & Convention Centre until Friday.

Outrigger prominent at ITB Asia and WTM 2013
Outrigger Hotels and Resorts in Asia-Pacific will be prominent at upcoming major travel trade events in Singapore and London ahead of the Mauritius Outrigger Resort and Spa opening on the idyllic south coast of the Indian Ocean island state in December. ITB Asia to grow in size for Suntec return in 2013
Messe Berlin (Singapore), organiser of ITB Asia, has announced that its 2013 event is set to be even bigger and better as plans are already underway to expand the show even further. Organisers are planning to take up two floors of exhibition space next year (across level six and level four) when it returns to the newly refurbished Suntec Singapore Convention Centre from October 23rd- 25th 2013.
