Etihad Airlines expands codeshare deal with Hong Kong Airlines

Etihad Airways has expanded its codeshare agreement with Hong Kong Airlines to give air travellers enhanced connections between Australasia, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America. The two airlines have obtained regulatory approval to codeshare on nine additional routes, bringing the total number of services in their codeshare agreement to 14.

In view of increasing passenger demand, Hong Kong Airlines, an internationally-acclaimed full-service airline, will increase the flight frequency on its Hong Kong - Tianjin route service to double daily commencing on January 16th 2016. Hong Kong Airlines will launch its first thrice-weekly service to Australia next year, commencing on January 8th 2016. The new service is a triangular service starting from Hong Kong to Gold Coast, and continuing to Cairns en-route back to Hong Kong. Airbus A330 aircraft with 292 seats including 32 business class seats will be deployed on the route, operating on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
