Hong Kong Airlines and WestJet have entered into a codeshare agreement, which sees Hong Kong Airline placing its HX marketing code on WestJet-operated flights. The two carriers are building on an existing interline agreement put in place earlier this year.

Hong Kong Airlines has taken delivery of its first A350-900, on lease from AerCap, making the carrier the 15th airline to operate the world’s newest and most efficient twin aisle airliner. Altogether Hong Kong Airlines will acquire 21 Airbus A350 XWB, including 15 purchased directly from Airbus and six on lease from third party lessors.

Hong Kong Airlines and Asiana Airlines have entered into codeshare partnership to bring more flight options to passengers travelling between Hong Kong and Seoul, the capital city of Korea. Under the agreement, Hong Kong Airlines and Asiana Airlines place their respective marketing codes on each other’s flights between Hong Kong and Seoul.

Hong Kong Airlines and Kenya Airways, the flag carrier of Kenya, have signed a codeshare agreement to enhance connectivity in Asia. Under the agreement, Kenya Airways will place its “KQ” code on Hong Kong Airlines’ flights between Bangkok, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
