The newly built hotel will operate under a management agreement with an affiliate of the Rolaco Group, who also own InterContinental Dallas, InterContinental Semiramis, InterContinental Geneva, Crowne Plaza Geneva, and Crowne Plaza Zurich.

InterContinental Hotels Group is opening the 108-room Holiday Inn Express Mexico Toreo hotel, located in Naucalpan in greater Mexico City’s north-western area. This hotel opens following an investment made by its franchisee of more than US $2 million dollars. Gerardo Murray, regional vice president of brands and marketing, Mexico, Latin America and Caribbean, IHG said: “Strategic location and modern design make the Holiday Inn Express Mexico Toreo hotel a top choice for travellers visiting Mexico City’s north-western area especially for those seeking quality accommodations while traveling for business or leisure.”
InterContinental Hotels reveals four properties in eastern Europe
InterContinental Hotels Group has announced it is set to open four new hotels across eastern Europe in the next few months, with a further 46 confirmed as being in the pipeline. The figures are a reflection of the hotel group’s expansion strategy in the region at work. The emergence of a new breed of traveller looking for diverse experiences has given rise to the region overtaking its Western counterparts: while Western Europe may be home to the most visited countries, Eastern Europe saw the fastest growth in 2015.
InterContinental Hotels signs five Holiday Inn properties across Germany
InterContinental Hotels has announced that the group will add five new Holiday Inn brand family hotels to its growing presence in Germany. The hotels will be developed in three federal states across the country and confirm IHG’s successful expansion in the market. IHG has 64 hotels in Germany and 33 in the pipeline, including 53 Holiday Inn brand family hotels open with 32 in the pipeline.
Holiday Inn Express launches in Paraguay
InterContinental Hotels Group has signed the Holiday Inn Express Asuncion Aviadores hotel, the first Holiday Inn Express hotel in Paraguay. The new-build 120-room hotel will be centrally located in Paraguay’s capital city of Asuncion, and joins IHG’s Crowne Plaza Asuncion hotel, already open in Paraguay.
