WTTC Summit 2011: Gerald Lawless leads Jumeirah to new heights
Gerald Lawless, Executive Chairman of Jumeirah Group, is hospitality’s man of the moment. He has just rounded off an incredibly successful week in Dubai when he was honoured with the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference 2011 “Leadership Award”, whilst the iconic Burj Al Arab was voted “Middle East’s Leading Hotel” at 2011 World Travel Awards. This week he is a panelist at the 9th WTTC Global Travel & Tourism Summit in Las Vegas.

Travelodge appoints Gerald Lawless as Non-Executive Director
Travelodge Hotels has announced the appointment of Gerald Lawless, Executive Chairman of Dubai-based luxury hospitality brand, Jumeirah Group, as a Non Executive Director. He will join the board with effect from 3 May 2011.
Jumeirah unveils new lifestyle brand as occupancy rates soar
Luxury hotel brand Jumeirah has reported a strong growth in sales, led by a surge in occupancy rates across its Dubai portfolio this year. The group has also unveiled plans to launch a new lifestyle brand, VENU Hotels, later in 2010 as its global expansion continues apace.
