Galileo signs six e-ticketable carriers

Galileo, a leading global distribution system(GDS) and a subsidiary of Travelport Inc., has signed up Aerosvit-UkranianAirlines, Air Tahiti Nui, El Al, Kingfisher, China Airlines and Royal AirMaroc as new e-ticketable carriers on the GDS, taking the total to 80.

Galileo to Develop Internet Booking Engine for United.Com

Galileo today announced it has signed a 10-year contract withUnited Airlines (UAL) to provide reservations system technology and hostingservices, network management and to develop a new Internet booking engine forthe airline’s Web site, United.com.  United will participate in the GalileoGDS through the term of the agreement.

Galileo Acquires Taiwan Distribution Partner

Galileo International has announced it has acquired the business and assets of World Data Systems Co Ltd (WDS) - its distribution partner in Taiwan - and transferred them to Galileo Taiwan, a new wholly owned subsidiary.  The terms of the transaction were not disclosed and is immaterial to Cendant.
