easyJet announces proposed exchange of Gatwick slots
easyJet has completed an agreement with Flybe Group to acquire 25 pairs of arrival and departure slots at Gatwick airport for a total consideration of £20 million. The acquisition is subject to the approval of Flybe’s shareholders.

easyJet targets business travellers with fast track security
easyJet will provide free fast track security to attract more business travellers. From May 2013 the new service will be provided to flexi fare passengers at 27 airports amounting to 54% of the airline’s business network and over the coming months will be progressively rolled out to more airports across easyJet’s network.

Low cost carrier easyjet has named John Barton, the chairman of fashion retailer Next, as its new chairman. Barton is expected to take up the post from May 1, succeeding Sir Mike Rake.
easyJet introduces new designed lightweight seats
easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, is today introducing new, lightweight and more comfortable seats onboard all of its new aircraft. The first of 14 new aircraft with the new seats onboard is being delivered today with the remainder due for delivery between now and the end of next summer. The look of the cabin has also been redesigned to create a more modern feel. The new seat cover is grey with orange accents and is complimented by a new carpet and specially designed easyJet orange aisle lighting.
easyJet celebrates its first successful year at London Southend
easyJet has celebrated its one year anniversary at London Southend Airport, with passengers, staff and children from the local community who were invited to participate in a paper plane ‘origami master class’ and competition to mark the occasion. A huge easyJet orange, origami paper plane was unveiled in the check-in area by easyJet UK commercial manager Hugh Aitken and London Southend Airport managing director Alastair Welch.

easyJet has put its winter 2013 schedule of flights on sale adding more than 71,000 flights which will take off between 27 October 2013 – 2 March 2014. Flying from 11 UK bases, more than 11 million seats on over 300 routes are available now for customers to choose from.
