Disney Cruise Line has taken a giant step toward the launch of its latest vessel with the Disney Dream leaving a German shipyard in Papenburg. After 20 months of construction, the vessel floated out of the enclosed building dock at the Meyer Werft shipyard, completing a major construction milestone.

Disney Cruise Line is launching an Alaska programme for the first time in summer 2011. The four-month season of seven-night sailings aboard the Disney Wonder will offer 18 cruises departing out of Vancouver and calling in at a number of ports including Tracy Arm, Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway.
