European exhibitors head to China Meetings Week and CIBTM 2012
CIBTM the established meetings industry event in China which attracted a record number of Hosted Buyers and facilitated more than 7,500 pre-scheduled appointments last year, is receiving significant interest from European product and service providers who are looking to exhibit at this year’s event set to take place from 12-14th September.
Marriott International focuses on China meetings industry
For the third year running, Marriott International will participate in CIBTM (www.cibtm.com), China’s leading meetings industry event, which takes place in Beijing from 12th to 14th September 2012. At the same time, the company has also confirmed its participation for 2013, stating the event has successfully attracted the right buyers and decision makers from China and Asia that have the ability to influence and drive MICE opportunities into their hotels.
CIBTM 2011 closes
As the 6th CIBTM drew to a close in China, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development (BTD) told the MICE industry via presentations to the media, Hosted Buyers, Exhibitors and trade visitors that they had not only signed another 3 year MOU with Reed Travel Exhibitions (organizers of the event) to continue their support of the growing meetings industry in China
CIBTM 2011 – Education programme drives MICE industry
With over 300 exhibitors, a 21% growth in event space over 2010, some 300 Hosted Buyers (25% increase over last year), plus more than 5500 Pre-Scheduled Appointments, and an increase in the number of Professional Education Seminars, CIBTM 2011 is following the trend of growth for the MICE sector in the region and will be the largest event of its kind since the launch in 2005.

The next China Incentives Business Travel and Meeting Exhibition (CIBTM) in 2011 will take place in Beijing at the China National Convention Centre from Tuesday 30 August – Thursday 1 September.
CIBTM 2009 - Beijing hosts the biggest international and regional meetings (BT MICE) event
This year’s CIBTM, China’s leading meetings (BT MICE) event opened in Beijing’s newest exhibition venue on September 8th 2009 and was 35% larger than the last CIBTM in 2007.
