Car hire comparison site Carrentals.co.uk is reporting a 38% year on year increase in its summer bookings, (1 June – 31st August), and a corresponding 72% increase in revenue, despite the difficult and unpredictable economic climate.

Co-op Travel has signed a new car hire agreement with Carrentals.co.uk, which will see the cooptravel.co.uk website compare prices from over 35 car rental companies through a white label service.

Despite the credit crunch, car hire comparator Carrentals.co.uk is continuing its growth, with the company 50% ahead of its budgeted revenue target for the first quarter of 2009 and year on year revenue up 30%.
