Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has announced two new additions to its Europe, Middle East and Africa regional business development team, to signal its commitment to accelerate growth in key European markets.
Radisson RED set to open in Portland
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is signing a new Radisson RED in Portland. This new-build hotel is expected to break ground this summer at the southwest corner of SW Broadway and SW Columbia Street and plans to open in mid-2018.
Radisson Blu expands in Latin America with three new properties
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is expanding Radisson Blu in Latin America with three hotels; Radisson Blu Santiago, La Dehesa in Chile as well as Radisson Blu San Andrés Resort & Spa and Radisson Blu ar Santa Marta Resort & Spa in Colombia. “Radisson Blu has a global presence with over 280 hotels in operation throughout the world and we see great potential for the brand in Latin America,” said Javier Rosenberg, chief operating officer, Americas, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.
Carlson Rezidor opens first hotel in Slovenia
Carlson Rezidor is opening its first hotel in Slovenia, the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Ljubljana. The 236-rooms hotel is the conversion of an existing hotel and will be re-branded in late 2015. “We are delighted to arrive in a new country and to further expand our strong network in capital cities of Central and Eastern Europe,” said Wolfgang Neumann, president, Rezidor.
Carlson Rezidor plans two Radisson Blu resorts in Mauritius
Carlson Rezidor is planning two new Radisson Blu beach resorts in Mauritius. The 100-room Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa, and the 57-residence Radisson Blu Azuri Residence & Suites are conversions of existing properties and will already be rebranded in Q3 2015.

Carlson Rezidor under starters orders for charity cycle relay
Staff members at Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson hotels across mainland UK are under starters orders for a charity cycle relay between 31 UK properties. Starting in Glasgow on May 6th and ending in Southend-on-Sea on 20th May, the 1300+ mile journey is expected to take around 140 cycling hours and to raise £30,000 for a range of local UK charities.
