Business travel recovery will be slow, poll reveals
Three-quarters of business travellers expect to travel the same or less this year, according to a survey released at the Business Travel & Meetings Show yesterday (February 9). The survey of 317 business travellers worldwide found that 51% predict their travel will be unchanged in 2010, with 21% expecting to make fewer trips.

The business travel industry has kick-started the new decade with a buzz of optimism as a survey of 1,400 business travel managers by the Business Travel & Meetings Show (BTMS) reveals more than a quarter (27 per cent) of budgets will be boosted for 2010 and 35 per cent of buyers plan to book more trips.
Business travel to pick up this year
More than 90% of business travellers expect to travel the same or more for business this year, according to a new survey. The survey of 2,400 frequent travellers is up almost 20% on last year’s figures – pointing to a pick up in the economy this year.
Travel buyers shun green
More than two thirds of travel buyers still do not a have a green buying policy in place. Almost a fifth of the 1,400 respondents surveyed by the Business Travel & Meetings Show stated that being green is simply “not a priority”.
