Boeing 737 MAX program reaches new milestone
Boeing has celebrated a milestone achievement on the 737 MAX program, surpassing the 2,000th order for the super-efficient single-aisle airplane. With the addition of 30 orders from unidentified customers this week, the 737 MAX now has a total of 2,010 orders from 39 customers worldwide, valued at$209 billion at list prices.
Boeing and Embraer open biofuel research centre in Brazil
Boeing and Embraer have announced that they will open a joint research centre to advance a sustainable aviation biofuel industry in Brazil. Under a memorandum of understanding, the two companies will perform joint biofuel research, as well as fund and coordinate research with Brazilian universities and other institutions.

Ryanair extends Boeing 737 Next-Generation deal
Boeing and Ryanair have finalised an order for five additional Next-Generation 737s, valued at $452 million at list prices. The announcement brings the total number of unfilled Next-Generation 737 orders for the Ireland-based ultra-low-cost carrier to 180 airplanes.

Boeing and Kenya Airways have celebrated the delivery of the carrier’s first 787 Dreamliner. The airplane departed Paine Field in Everett for a 7,800 nautical mile non-stop flight to Kenya Airways’ home base in Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Boeing Business Jet MAX launches with first order
Boeing has announced the launch of the Boeing Business Jet MAX family of airplanes after receiving the first order from an undisclosed customer. The order is for a BBJ MAX 8, which is based on the 737 MAX 8 and the newest business jet to join the BBJ family. “We are honoured that an existing BBJ customer has become the first to select the BBJ MAX,” said Capt. Steve Taylor, president, Boeing Business Jets.
Ryanair showcases Boeing co-branded aircraft
Boeing and Ryanair showcased their strong partnership with a new, co-branded livery on the airline’s most recently delivered Next-Generation 737-800. The airplane features the distinctive blue Boeing colours on the fuselage of the airplane, while Ryanair’s name is featured toward the rear of the aircraft.
Air Canada places $6.5bn order with Boeing
Boeing and Air Canada have finalised an order for 61 737 MAX airplanes to lead the airline’s single-aisle fleet renewal plan. The order, valued at $6.5 billion at list prices, consists of 33 737 MAX 8s and 28 737 MAX 9s, as well as 18 options and 30 rights to purchase additional 737 MAXs.
Turkmenistan Airlines receives first Boeing 777-200LR
Boeing has delivered the first 777-200LR (Longer Range) passenger aircraft to Turkmenistan’s national flag carrier, Turkmenistan Airlines. The airplane is the first of two 777-200LRs Turkmenistan Airlines has on order.
