Boeing 787 Dreamliner touches down in UAE capital
Etihad Airways has welcomed Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner to Abu Dhabi International Airport marking the aircraft’s first visit to the UAE capital. Last December, Etihad Airways announced it was buying 10 more Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, taking its total order to 41, valued at US $9.3 billion.

Boeing has marked another 787 milestone as the first Dreamliner built in South Carolina completed its first flight. Piloted by Tim Berg and Randy Neville, the airplane successfully conducted a five-hour test flight.

Boeing has confirmed the 787 ‘Dream Tour’ will draw to a close with a seventh leg of international trips. During the tour, a refurbished flight test airplane has demonstrated the Dreamliner’s capabilities to more than 59,000 guests with an estimated 6,000 more to see it during the upcoming stops.
Thomson Airways brings Dreamliner to UK
Thomson Airways – which is set to become the first UK airline to fly the 787 Dreamliner from May 2013 – has welcomed the new aircraft into the UK. The exhibition formed part of the Dream Tour, organised by manufacturer Boeing, and unveiled the planned interior and new livery of its 787 aircraft.
Boeing and All Nippon Airways launch biofuel Dreamliner
Boeing and All Nippon Airways have made aviation history as a 787 Dreamliner flew for the first time powered in part by sustainable biofuels. “The 787 is the most environmentally progressive jetliner flying today, combining fuel efficiency and comfort with reduced carbon emissions,” said Billy Glover, commercial airplanes vice president of environment and aviation policy.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner has landed for the first time in Turkey, making Istanbul the latest destination on its global Dream Tour. Over the next five days, airline customers, suppliers, and invited guests will get a chance to see first-hand the Dream Tour 787 outfitted with the Dreamliner’s special cabin features including a welcoming entryway, dramatically larger dimmable widows, bigger bins and dynamic LED lighting.
Boeing and Transaero Airlines sign Dreamliner deal
Boeing and Transaero Airlines of Russia have signed an order for four 787-8 Dreamliners. The signing ceremony for the order, valued at $744 million at list prices, made history by being held onboard the 787 during a demonstration flight for Transaero’s executives, employees and special guests.
Japan Airlines takes delivery two 787 Dreamliners
Boeing and Japan Airlines (JAL) are celebrating the delivery of the airline’s first two 787 Dreamliners. JAL is the first airline to take delivery of a 787 powered by fuel-efficient General Electric GEnx engines which will enable JAL to open new non-stop routes.

Boeing is beginning the fifth segment of the 787 Dream Tour, a worldwide tour featuring the Dreamliner. This leg of the tour will include five cities across South America, Central Asia, Russia and Europe.
Japan Airlines confirms delivery schedule for first Dreamliner
Japan Airlines has announced it will take delivery of its first Boeing 787-8 on March 25th, with the aircraft (JA822J) to be flown from Seattle, Everett to Tokyo, Narita by JAL pilots the following day. Also today, Boeing confirmed the 787 Dreamliner will make its Chilean debut as the centrepiece at the FIDAE 2012 International Air & Space Fair in Santiago on March 27th.
All testing complete on Boeing Dreamliner
Boeing has completed all flight tests expected to be required for type certification of the 787-8 Dreamliner with General Electric GEnx engines. This marks the end of all certification flight testing associated with the baseline model of the 787.
Boeing inks $1.4bn deal with Air Astana
Boeing and Air Astana have announced an order for four 767-300ERs (Extended Range) and three 787-8s. The order is valued at $1.3 billion at current list prices, making this the largest single order for commercial airplanes in Kazakhstan’s history.
