Ascott expands stake in Quest Apartments as global expansion continues
The Ascott is acquiring an additional 60 per cent stake in Quest Apartment Hotels for A$180 million. This will increase Ascott’s stake in Quest from its current 20 per cent to 80 per cent, propelling Ascott to become the largest serviced residence provider in Australasia.

Ascott Residence Trust is adding another prime property to its global portfolio by acquiring the 224-unit DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York – Times Square South for US$106 million.
Ascott signs with Vitacon for two new Brazil properties
The Ascott has stepped up its global expansion as it breaks into South America with franchise agreements for two serviced residences in São Paulo, Brazil. Vitacon, a leading real estate company in São Paulo, will franchise and operate the 92-unit Citadines VN Jardins São Paulo and 122-unit Citadines VN Faria Lima São Paulo.
Ascott inks six new serviced apartment properties in China
The Ascott races ahead by securing contracts to manage six properties with more than 1,200 apartment units in China, on the back of record growth last year. Ascott acquires Temple Bar Hotel, Dublin, for €55m
