Phil Blizzard meets up with Jean Francois Laurent, the general manager of Anantara’s first resort in Dubai, which is located on the iconic man made island - Palm Jumeirah. Anantara opens in Africa with Mozambique property

Minor reaches 100 hotels with new Anantara property
Minor Hotel Group has continued to expand across its home country of Thailand by announcing the rebranding of the Chedi Chiang Mai to Anantara Chiang Mai Resort & Spa. The iconic addition to the MHG portfolio is the 100th property in operation and is a strategic location for the luxury discovery brand Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, which was born in Thailand in 2001.
Anantara Dubai The Palm opens to guests
Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas is continuing the expansion of its portfolio in the Middle East with the opening of Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa. This new resort joins the four existing Anantara properties in Abu Dhabi and a further two will be added to the portfolio in the region by early 2014, including the first property in Qatar, which represents a new country of operation.
Minor Hotels takes Anantara into Mozambique with Rani Investment
Minor Hotel Group, a hotel owner, operator and investor, has announced the formation of a long term strategic partnership agreement with Rani Investment, the owner of high end resorts across Africa. The two organisations have formed a joint venture company for ownership of Indigo Bay Resort & Spa in Mozambique, with plans for further expansion in Africa.
