ONYX expands Amari brand into Middle East with Doha property
Thailand-based ONYX Hospitality Group has been appointed by Gulf Trading and Contracting Company to operate a 120-room hotel in the Qatari capital, Doha. This is ONYX’s first step for expansion in the Middle East for the Amari brand. The property is scheduled to open in September 2012.
ONYX seeks China foothold for Amari brand
ONYX Hospitality Group has assumed management of a 105-room hotel on Hainan Island in China as the company seeks to expand its Amari brands into the country. Owned by local developer, Sanya Daxing Group, the existing property will continue to operate as an upscale boutique offering while it undergoes a phase of re-branding before debuting as the Amari Sanya Bay on March 1st 2012.
Onyx Hospitality to manage Amari Residences, Pattaya
ONYX Hospitality Group has been appointed to manage a landmark 135-room mixed-use development project in Pattaya under its cornerstone, mid to upscale Amari brand. Currently known as The Legend, the distinctive 35-storey property has been renamed Amari Residences Pattaya.
