Two Roads Hospitality has announced the expansion of Alila Hotels & Resorts into North America. Singapore-based Alila, which became part of the Two Roads Hospitality portfolio in June 2015, will open its first North American resort property in California’s fabled Big Sur in autumn 2017.
Alila Hotels plans second Oman property in Mirbat
Alila Hotels & Resorts announced its plans to open its second luxury resort development in Oman in Mirbat, east of Salalah, a coastal town in the Dhofar governate, in south western Oman. The development is owned by Alil Salalah, a subsidiary of the Oman Investment Fund. Slated to launch in the second half of 2017, Alila Salalah is envisioned as an ecologically sensitive, luxury resort, comprising 100 suites, 25 villas, fine dining restaurants and a Spa Alila wellness centre.

Alila appoints general manager for Alila Seminyak
Alila Hotels & Resorts, a luxury operator with boutique hotels and resorts in India and Asia Pacific, has appointed Ian Jones as the general manager for Alila Seminyak, a new resort due to open in Bali in late 2014. Hailing from a small town in Aurora, Canada, Ian Jones began his hotel career in a 1,400-room hotel where he filed the keys into the front desk racks ready for the next guest.
Alila Seminyak to open in Bali in 2014
Alila Hotels & Resorts is to launch Alila Seminyak, Bali in late 2014. Cocooned on an undeveloped stretch of beach on Bali’s south west coast, the resort has been designed as a tropical haven, connected by garden corridors creating an extensive labyrinth of vertical greens, leafy shrubs and blossoming plants, which are naturally ventilated by sea breezes.
