Starlux Airlines places A350 order with Airbus

Starlux Airlines of Taiwan has signed a firm order with Airbus for 17 widebody aircraft, comprising 12 A350-1000s and five A350-900s. The new airline plans to deploy these aircraft on its long-haul services from Taipei to Europe and North America, as well as selected destinations within the Asia-Pacific region.

Delta Air Lines has ordered ten additional Airbus A330-900 widebody aircraft, expanding the A330neo order book from 25 to 35 aircraft. Simultaneously, Delta and Airbus have agreed to defer ten previously ordered A350 XWBs to 2025-26 in order to accommodate the airline’s long-term growth strategy.

The first ultra-long-range Airbus A350 XWB to be delivered to launch customer Singapore Airlines has rolled out of the paintshop in the carrier’s livery. Now at an advanced stage of production, the aircraft will undergo further testing before being delivered to the airline in the coming months.
