Seychelles tourism minister highlights close ties with South Africa
Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles minister responsible for tourism and culture, and Manoj Papa, chief executive of Air Seychelles, have jointly chaired a press conference at the Hilton Hotel in Durban South Africa to update the press on the state of tourism in the Seychelles. Miss Seychelles 2013, Agnes Gerry and two Air Seychelles cabin crew were on hand to welcome the press to the conference that had been jointly organised by David Germain and Marsha Parcou of the Seychelles Tourism Board in South Africa and Josie Michaud-Payet and Cindy Vidot of Air Seychelles.
New chief executive appointed to Air Seychelles
Air Seychelles has confirmed the appointment of Manoj Papa as its new chief executive, succeeding Cramer Ball, who has tendered his resignation. Papa joins from South African Airways, where he held the position of acting general manager, commercial, overseeing the entire commercial portfolio for the airline.
Air Seychelles and Vanilla Islands sign partnership agreement
Air Seychelles has signed an agreement with the Vanilla Islands Organisation to increase visitor numbers to the Indian Ocean. Under the strategic marketing agreement, the signatories will invest in a range of cooperative programs and products to attract visitors to the Indian Ocean from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Air Seychelles reveals expansion plans
Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has announced, subject to regulatory approval, it will launch flights to Paris-Orly as part of a significant expansion to its international schedule. Plans for an optimised regional network include the introduction of several new routes in 2014.
Air Seychelles places new aircraft order with Viking
Air Seychelles has announced the purchase of three Viking Air DHC-6 Twin Otter Series 400 aircraft, in a deal which will see the carrier renew its domestic fleet. The new aircraft will be used for services between Mahé and Praslin, as well as other islands in the archipelago, including Bird, Denis and Frégate.
Air Seychelles extends codeshares deal with Etihad
Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has extended its codeshare agreement with equity alliance partner Etihad Airways to include new connections to Australia. The new codeshare flights, on sale now, offer seamless connections to Seychelles from Melbourne and Sydney, operated via Abu Dhabi.

Air Seychelles has announced it has entered into a codeshare agreement with South African Airways, the national airline of the Republic of South Africa. The first phase of the agreement will see South African Airways place its “SA” code on Air Seychelles’ non-stop flights between Johannesburg and Seychelles.

airberlin and Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, have signed a historic codeshare agreement allowing customers from each of the two carriers to fly seamlessly between Abu Dhabi, Germany, and Seychelles. Initially, the agreement, which comes into effect immediately, will see Air Seychelles’ HM code placed on four of airberlin’s daily return services between Abu Dhabi and Berlin, Dusseldorf complementing the island carrier’s existing 26 weekly codeshare connections with Etihad Airways to Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf.
