The Philippines’ largest airline, Cebu Pacific, and its wholly owned subsidiary Cebgo, generated a net income of eight billion peso from January to June 2016, a substantial increase from the five billion peso earned in the same period last year. The Cebu Pacific Air group’s first half 2016 revenues surged to 33 billion peso, a growth of 12 per cent year-on-year.

iPass extends Deutsche Telekom partnership

iPass has announced it has extended the term of its partnership with Deutsche Telekom AG to offer inflight Wi-Fi access to iPass customers on 12 international airlines. The new three-year agreement will make iPass available on 330 long-haul aircraft. With this partnership iPass will be available to passengers on airlines including Lufthansa, Aer Lingus, Etihad and American Airlines.

The figure represents a 6.9 per cent increase on the same month last year. Long-haul routes continue their impressive growth at the airport, growing 23 per cent collectively versus last July, against a backdrop of traffic growth stalling at other major European airports, as reported by the Airports Council International this week.

TAP has confirmed an increase in the number of weekly flights operating from London Gatwick to Lisbon and Porto, as part of its winter operations timetable.
