WTM Latin America to welcome global travel community to São Paulo

WTM Latin America 2015, set to take place from April 22nd-24th at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, will again present Latin America to the world and the world to Latin America. 

And judging by the number of exhibitors and new exhibitors already confirmed to exhibit within the World region on the exhibition floor the mission is fulfilled for the third year running.

Last year WTM Latin America generated business deals in excess of $341 million.

Companies and organisations attracted by the opportunity to close business partnerships, sign deals and strengthen relationships with markets and companies from around the world have all signed up for 2015.

Brand USA, who are responsible for positioning and promoting the United States as a tourist destination for international travellers, are among the exhibitors returning for 2015 that will have a significant presence on the exhibition floor.

Brand USA chief executive, Chris Thompson, said: “WTM Latin America is very important – it’s in Sao Paulo and Brazil is a huge market for us, and to have a WTM-calibre show there is awesome.”

Popular tourism hotspot, Mexico, will also have an even larger stand at this year’s event within the ‘world’ region on the exhibition floor.

The Middle East section within the World region will include global airline Emirates as well as the Jordan Tourism Board and Israel Ministry of Tourism.

New European exhibitors that will be represented within the ‘world’ region will include the official Spanish Tourism Board and Delta Tours, who have been organising tours within the Baltic States since 1991.

Gartour, which operates in the Italian market and offers tours in Italy with guides fluent in several languages from Russian to Portuguese.

Also based in Italy, Rusconi Viaggi are new exhibitors that organise custom inbound tours throughout the country.

Located between Europe and Asia and one of the most significant participants at this year’s WTM Latin America is Turkey.

With increased direct flights from Istanbul to Sao Paulo, Turkey has seen Brazil become a very important market and this year the event welcome’s the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce for the first time to present the cities historical, cultural and artistic vibrancy.

Asia will be represented by new exhibitors Al Burj Tours & Travel, an agency specializing in tours in Abu Dhabi and Indochina Travel Services, the operator of inbound tourism which operates in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. 

Yatra Exotic Routes are also a new addition to the exhibition floor, as they prepare exotic itineraries and offer services and products in India, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka.

They will be joining the likes of Korea, India, Taiwan and Thailand on the Exhibition floor.
