Wotif Group strengthens senior team in Asia

Wotif Group, operator of leading travel brands in the Asia Pacific, today announced the appointment of Sebastian Fontanarossa as its new Group Product Director (Accommodation) – Asia.

Sebastian will lead the Group’s team of more than 50 product experts in establishing new relationships with hotels and resorts in Asia. He will spearhead the team’s efforts to achieve distribution targets for these partners, with a focus on developing new markets and destinations. He will also work closely with Wotif.com’s global marketing teams to identify key opportunities for promotion for Asian hotel partners.

Robbie Cooke, Managing Director and Group CEO of Wotif Group, said of Sebastian’s appointment: “Sebastian comes to us with an impressive record in the hospitality industry. More importantly, he has proven a good fit for our Group culture of innovation and industry leadership. We’re very pleased to have him on board our senior team, and aim to leverage on his global experience to build our presence in Asia and grow the business.”

Sebastian joins Wotif Group with a wealth of experience, most recently from Hyatt International, where he worked for 6 years as Area Director of Strategic Marketing for the Pacific region. He has also previously worked in sales, marketing and analytical roles with other hotel chains, amassing over 13 years of experience in the international hotel sector.

Said Sebastian, “I’m very excited to take on this new role, which is focused on working with existing and new Asian hotel partners to achieve greater distribution throughout the Wotif Group. With my base in Singapore I am looking forward to working very closely with all our partners and our Asian product teams to fulfill Wotif Group’s strategic aims.”

The Argentina-born Sebastian holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications, Advertising & Public Opinion Studies from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
