Wizz Air grows strongly in Norway

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, increased its Norway seat capacity to 580,000 seats in 2013 which represents a growth of 64% year on year.

Wizz Air started its Norwegian operations in 2006. Since then, the airline has achieved a strong and consistent growth and now offers a total of 23 low fare routes from 7 Norwegian cities to 4 different countries.

Wizz Air spokesman Daniel de Carvalho said: “Wizz Air aims to stimulate air traffic in the 35 countries it operates by offering very low fares while delivering great customer service, and we clearly see that Norwegian consumers are as enthusiastic about our low fares as millions of Wizz Air passengers in Europe and beyond. We are thrilled about continuing our growth in the country and offering excellent services to our expanding customer base of Norwegian passengers and their visitors.”
