Wimco Launches Punta Mita Mexico Collection

Stiles Bennet, vice president of marketing and sales, announces that Wimco Villas has added 17 elegant and exclusive villas in Punta Mita, Mexico, to its international portfolio that now includes private villas in Hawaii, the Caribbean and Mediterranean.

The new villas in Punta Mita, in a recently developed gated community, reflect the discerning taste and vision of their owners. These homes are imbued with the flavors of the sea and white sand beach on one hand and the Sierra Madre Mountains inland in the distance. These impeccably appointed, three- to six-bedroom private homes are serviced by a local team of maids, cooks and staff.

Bennet calls Punta Mita “a great destination for large families or groups with varying interests.”

Families can relax on several white sand beaches taking advantage of an array of water sports. The more intrepid can book whale watching or rainforest canopy tours, jungle ATV or jeep safaris, golf and tennis, and excursions to explore the handcrafts of local Hurichol Indian villages.  Guests will also enjoy sport fishing, sea kayaking and surfing. The picturesque harbor city of Puerto Vallarta is only 45 minutes east, and there are numerous fishing villages and beaches nearby for those who want to explore the area.

The villas, ensconced in a coastal enclave, share an expansive, private peninsula with the Four Seasons and St. Regis hotels and two Jack Nicklaus designed golf courses.  Spa services are available through the hotels and guests can also take advantage of Wimco’s full concierge program to arrange in-villa spa treatments, private chefs and yoga sessions.

“This is a beautifully landscaped peninsula with views in all directions, sunsets, long stretches of beaches, surfing waves,  a quaint harbor with small restaurants and shops and two fabulous luxury hotels with all of their requisite splendor, staff and services,” notes Bennet.

He says that Wimco staff members recommend that guests put themselves in the hands of the Punta Mita concierge staff who will provide airport transfers and arrange for a golf rental cart for buzzing about the area.  Another staff suggestion is to rent a car or arrange for a car and driver for the journey to Puerto Vallarta or to some of the local villages along the Riviera Nayarit.

“A week might not be enough time,” he adds.
