Canadian carrier WestJet has announced a seasonal non-stop service from Dublin Airport to Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia.

Served by a state-of-the-art Boeing 737 MAX, the flight will begin on April 30th and operate until October 26th.

The new connection, which takes just six hours (and five and quarter hours on the return leg), means Irish holidaymakers can fly directly to Nova Scotia for the first time since 2017.

The daily service will depart Dublin at 09:00 and land in Halifax at 11.02, giving visitors a whole afternoon and evening to explore the city on their day of arrival – the return flight will depart Halifax at 22:20 and arrive in Dublin at 07:33 the following day.

WestJet has served Halifax Stanfield International Airport for 15 years and the new connection compliments existing direct flights from London Gatwick and Glasgow airports.

The Boeing 737 MAX aircraft features premium and economy cabins, the comprehensive WestJet Connect entertainment system and spacious Boeing Sky Interiors.

Halifax is Nova’s Scotia’s provincial capital and is the largest city in Atlantic Canada.
