Holidays and anniversaries are always joyous occasions, so combining the two is sure to make for twice the fun on VIA Rail this fall.

Between November 7 and 14, VIA Rail Canada, Fairmont Hotels and Parks Canada have teamed up to celebrate the centenary of one of the world’s oldest parks systems with the 23rd Annual Christmas in November event being held at the luxurious Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.

“Parks Canada is a valued partner,” says Lynn Lefebvre, Product Manager, VIA Rail. “We wanted to do something special to mark the centennial. We’ve been working with Parks Canada interpreters and our learning coordinators to come up with a variety of experiential and entertaining features to enrich the journey west.”

Getting to the beautiful town of Jasper in the heart of the Rockies will be half the fun, with VIA departures available from Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Vancouver.

After a VIP welcome at the historic Jasper Heritage Railway Station, passengers will be transferred to the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge for a two or three-night stay.

Hosted by Chef Michael Smith of Food Network Canada, and a line-up of celebrity presenters, Christmas in November is about learning the fine art of Balance, how to bring poise and composure to the hectic holiday season with tips and trends to polish cooking, decorating and gift-giving skills, and balanced out with classes on personal wellness, positive energy and healthy living.
