Two key appointments at Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah

Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah has made two new appointments to executive committee team.

Ahmed Kamel has taken up the role of director of rooms, while at the same time Marcelle Nabil becomes the director of human resources.

Kamel brings 18 years of extensive experience in the luxury hospitality industry with previous roles at Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts and InterContinental Hotels & Resorts.

His new duties include overseeing operational management, guest services and overseeing the heads of departments to ensure revenue and guest satisfaction.

Similarly, Nabil brings ten years of experience to her new role.

Prior to her appointment with Waldorf Astoria, she has worked with Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt International.

Nabil holds a degree in human resources management and services from the American University in Cairo as well as degree from Harvard and Cornell.

Following her appointment, Nabil is now one of 15 women at the hotel appointed in director and management level roles at the property.

A key part of her new role will involve working closely with the general manager to help drive forward career leadership development opportunities for women at the hotel which aligns with Hilton’s ongoing commitment to support and promote more women into senior leadership positions across the business.
