Turkey to be country partner of AITF for the third time

For the third consecutive year, the country partner of AITF, the Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair, which takes place next year, will be Turkey. A Partnership Agreement was signed in August, which provides for the participation of Turkish companies on a collective stand. In addition, Turkey has significantly increased the size of its stand to 110 m², which is 20% more than last year.

“Turkey remains the most popular holiday destination for our citizens, and in relation to this, we welcome Turkey’s decision to once again become the country partner of the AITF exhibition,” said AITF Project Manager Khayal Aliyeva. “We are confident that the exhibition will give Turkish tour operators an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their tourism potential and establish business contacts with industry colleagues.”

In turn, Mr. Nizami Musaev, Counselor for Culture and Tourism at the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, said: “We are pleased to once again be the country partner of AITF, the largest tourism exhibition in the region. As is known, the exhibition opens the tourist season in Azerbaijan and, in the run-up to the Eurovision Song Contest, it will will be an excellent platform for demonstrating in the most effective way all the aspects and areas of tourism in Turkey.”

AITF 2012 will take place from 12 to 14 April 2012 in Baku Expo Centre, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The exhibition is organised by ITE Group Plc (UK) and its partner in the Caucasus, Iteca Caspian.
