Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor in Siem Reap, Cambodia, has announced it has received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, which honours top-rated lodging businesses, restaurants and attractions.
To qualify, these businesses must maintain an average rating of four or higher out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor.
Additional criteria include volume of reviews and how recently they have been submitted by TripAdvisor travellers.
The accolade is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide.
Diana Banks, vice President, sales & marketing for Raffles Hotels & Resorts, said: “Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor is delighted to receive a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
“At Raffles we believe that true luxury is about how good our guests feel when they stay with us.
“Every single member of our wonderful staff is genuinely proud to deliver thoughtful, kind and personal service.
“This accolade shows that all their hard work has translated into positive traveller reviews on TripAdvisor – and I would like to thank everyone who gave us those good reviews.”
In the former Royal Khmer compound, Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor is a stunning heritage property.
Original Art Deco features blend seamlessly with modern comfort. Originally opened in 1932, it was reopened in 1997 as a member of the Raffles Hotels & Resorts family.
The hotel’s staterooms are currently undergoing an inspirational refurbishment and the two large private garden villas are being transformed and upgraded.
The work will be completed between September and November 2011.
Christine Petersen, president of TripAdvisor for Business, explained: “The TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence program gives exceptional businesses in a variety of different industries around the world the recognition they deserve.
“From top-rated restaurants in Boston to top-rated attractions in Barcelona, we want to applaud all these businesses for offering TripAdvisor travellers a great customer experience – and especially Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor.”
