Travelzoo Inc., a global Internet media company, announced today that it sold its 1 millionth Local Deal voucher. In the past 12 months, Travelzoo has recommended more than 2,000 outstanding Local Deals from high-quality restaurants, spas and other local businesses in more than 75 cities across Europe and North America.

Travelzoo Local Deals adheres to the same strict quality guidelines as Travelzoo’s core business, which publishes outstanding travel offers for brands such as British Airways, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and The Ritz-Carlton. Within the past 12 months, Travelzoo strengthened its position in the Local Deals market by signing an agreement with Sysco iCare, the marketing organization for the largest food distributor in North America, Sysco. Under the terms of the agreement, Sysco iCare will recommend Travelzoo Local Deals on an exclusive basis to its 250,000 restaurant customers.
