Travel Indochina collaborates with agents

Leading Asia specialist, Travel Indochina, in conjunction with its trade partner Travel 2, is encouraging travel agencies to partner with them on a series of joint consumer evenings in the UK.

The operator hopes to increase sales to the ever emerging destinations of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

Independent travel agency Spalding Travel organised such an evening at their store in Lincolnshire at the start of this month, as did their sister store Holt Travel in Norfolk.

These evenings present the perfect opportunity for staff to offer a unique insight into this incredible corner of the world, while promoting Travel Indochina’s Small Group Tours Asia brochure for 2011, which features more itineraries and departures to Indochina than any other tour operator in the UK, under the Travel 2 brand.

During the course of an inspiring 40-minute presentation, Richard Swain, Travel Indochina’s knowledgeable Business Development Manager, shared his top insider tips on Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos and discussed Travel Indochina’s unique style of travel, including the award-winning operator’s small group sizes for up 16 passengers, their comprehensive inclusions and on-the-ground offices in all three destinations.

This was followed by an expert Q&A session, as well as the opportunity for interested guests to discuss specific itineraries and personal interests directly with the team.

All attendees enjoyed a selection of Asian nibbles, wine and the award-winning Beer Lao, which was flown over for the event from Laos.

Joan Thom, manager of Holt Travel, commented: “All our clients enjoyed the presentation which brought Indochina to life.

“Myself and the team thought it was the best presentation we have participated in.”

If agencies are keen to hold a consumer evening to increase their sales to Indochina, they should contact Richard Swain, based in the north of the UK, at [email protected] or southern-based Pat Chase [email protected]
