Transaero Airlines carried more than 1.5 million passengers last month, achieving the airline’s best ever result for July.

Passenger traffic increased by eight per cent over July 2013.

Transaero also recorded a 15 per cent increase in the number of premium (Imperial, Business and Premium) class passengers in comparison with July 2013.

The number of transit passengers also increased by 25 per cent over July 2013.

In 2013 Transaero adopted a five-year development strategy - “Rational growth, efficiency and strategic focus” - to enhance the company’s operational and financial efficiency. ]

With a focus on improving quality, its cost reduction programme delivered savings of 5.9 billion roubles (USD $ 169 million).
