Train tickets for Chinese New Year go on sale

Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon through train tickets for the upcoming Chinese New Year period (24 January to 24 February 2013) goes on sale. Tickets are available at four designated sales outlets, namely the MTR Intercity Through Train Customer Service Centre at Hung Hom Station, the Wanchai and Mong Kok branch offices of the China Travel Service (Hong Kong) Limited, and the Head Office of the China Railway (Hong Kong) Holdings Limited in Tsim Sha Tsui. Each passenger may buy up to four northbound and four southbound single journey tickets.

Tickets will also be available at other through train ticket counters at designated stations of MTR Island Line, East Rail Line, and Light Rail, as well as the sales outlets of appointed ticketing agents.

Only a limited supply of southbound tickets from Beijing and Shanghai will be available for sale in Hong Kong. Passengers who are unable to buy southbound tickets in Hong Kong may purchase them at the Beijing West Station or Shanghai Station.
