Trafalgar launches two new European itineraries for 2017

As it approaches its platinum birthday, Trafalgar has launched its new 2017 Europe & Britain programme with two new tours plus an exciting and exclusive Vatican private dining experience.

In addition, the brochure boasts an all-new look, which further asserts Trafalgar’s leadership position as the most trusted and transparent global travel brand.

The 2017 programme includes 109 immersive trips that bring the continent to life via eight different travel styles: Country Explorer, At Leisure, Discoveries, Regional Explorer, Family Experience, Hidden Journeys, Cruise, Rail and Combinations, and Special Interest.

Some 31 of these trips are featured within the UK edition of Trafalgar’s new 2017 Europe & Britain printed brochure.

The two new European itineraries for 2017 are:

  • The 20 day Nordic Adventure journey: An immersive exploration of the northern-most parts of Scandinavia that comes complete with tales of ancient Viking kings and Lapland stories of Sami culture. Guests will travel through dramatic fjord and glacial landscapes, view the world’s northern-most university and meet Santa in Rovaniemi. The trip takes in the Scandinavian capitals and visits the North Cape Visitor Centre where guests can witness the land of the midnight sun.
  • The six day Amsterdam Explorer itinerary: Savouring local life at leisure in the Netherlands’ capital, which combines the buzz of a big city and charm of a little village. This At Leisure itinerary explores the city’s labyrinthine streets and canals, delving into its architecture and Dutch masterpieces, and provides an insight into Dutch WWII history. Guests will also visit Gouda’s traditional cheese market, The Hague, Rotterdam, and much more.

Another new addition to the programme for 2017 is a private VIP dining experience within The Vatican.

An entirely exclusive experience to guests travelling with the TTC family of brands, of which Trafalgar is part, this brand new experience sees guests fast-tracked through a special VIP entrance of the Vatican Museums with a local expert, where they can admire the Papal art collection and enter the Sistine Chapel and admire Michelangelo’s masterpiece on its ceiling.

After the museums close their doors to the public, the tour culminates with a special invitation from a curator of the Ethnological Museum, who shares their knowledge of the collection, before a private VIP Insider Experience, dining within the Vatican.

Ruth Hilton, Trafalgar sales and business development director, UK & Ireland, said: “I am delighted to have joined Trafalgar at such an exciting time.

“The company’s passion for travel is palpable and the commitment to delivering outstanding experiences is unrelenting.

“Our 70 year legacy has been built on trust and confidence from our valued industry partners and guests, and I am looking forward to working with them all in my new role.

“For 2017, Trafalgar is going above and beyond to ensure we have created what we believe to be simply our most compelling proposition to date: more choice, more value.

“When it comes to your clients’ crucial getaway, there is no question that we are offering the platinum standard in travel.”
