Thomason to take over at Gravetye Manor

Original country house hotel Gravetye Manor has announced the appointment of Andrew Thomason to the newly created role of managing director. 

Thomason has experience including time as resident manager at Le Manoir Aux Quat’saisons, general manager at Lower Slaughter Manor and most recently general manager at Hotel Verta, London where he oversaw the opening.

Neville Ablitt who has been the owner’s representative since Gravetye Manor was acquired by Jeremy & Elizabeth Hosking in February 2010 and who will join the main board of Saphos Hotel LLP said: “Andrew’s appointment to this role will enable Gravetye Manor to develop and implement its future plans. 

“Following the hotel’s multi-million pound refurbishment programme, Andrew’s depth of experience in the five star Country House sector will be of great importance in returning Gravetye Manor to one of the best Country House Hotels in the Country.”
