Thomas Cook closes websites

Thomas Cook is planning to close two of its co-operative websites which will result in the loss of 14 jobs.

The websites and will be closed as the Co-operative Travel website offers the same products and is receiving the majority of customer traffic.

Traffic from these two similar sites will now be
redirected to

“Since Thomas Cook, The Co-operative Travel and the Midlands Co-operative formed a joint venture last year, we’ve always said that we would
conduct a full review of all the business functions and look to integrate and strengthen the combined business by addressing underperforming areas and minimising overlap and duplication,” a Thomas Cook spokesman revealed.

“We are working closely with those 14 affected colleagues as they go through the consultation and notice period.”
