The Ascott has been voted the World’s Leading Serviced Apartment Brand by the World Travel Awards following a vote among travellers and travel industry professionals from across the globe.
Over the past year, Ascott increased its global portfolio by 3,700 apartment units across 22 residences in key cities across China, India, Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
Plans to open 57 new properties in gateway cities in China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, The Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam are in the pipeline bringing the company closer to its 40,000-accommodation-units-target by 2015.
Investments in global initiatives have, in addition to a significant refurbishment programme and complimentary Wi-Fi across the portfolio, included new improved web/mobile booking features to offer advanced city-wide search functions and filters and provide a faster more efficient one-stop-shop reservation service.
