Tel Aviv to offer free wi-fi to tourists

The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality, in conjunction with Tel Aviv Global & Tourism Administration, has completed the installation of 60 wi-fi hotspots around the city, with another 20 access points to be installed in the near future.

Locations include the beach, entertainment centres, parks and tourist attractions.

This service allows visitors and residents free wi-fi access from virtually anywhere in the city.

Part of the city’s planned “digital revolution” wi-fi access in Tel Aviv is the widest network available in Israel.

During the pilot project in July, 13,000 people used the service, with the number more than doubling in August.
